Daily journal January 2, 2000, Lausanne, Switzerland for the flight home via Geneva.
Overlooking the mighty Alps and the city of Lausanne, I prepare to catch the train to Geneva and Belgium Air through Brussels and Atlanta. The train ride from Lausanne was great seeing the snow-covered slopes along the foothills of the Alps to the Geneva airport one-stop after Geneva downtown. I was with a schoolteacher from Los Angeles and his Japanese wife that works for the World Health Organization. When I arrived at the Geneva airport a huge crowd lined a ball field as it were to check them in at the Swiss Air counter space so that I had to wait for one-hour while so many skiers loading their skis on the luggage. I boarded Sabine Air flight to Brussels at the last minute and I was offered a horse meat sandwich or cheese. I believe this society will some day eat human beings because most are so brutal and Godless. I boarded Sabine Air A344 four engine AirBus to Atlanta for 10 hours so full and slow flight with maybe power was cut back to make it nonstop. They showed a Disney movie "going home for Christmas". We landed one-and-a-half hours late to miss my Delta flight to GSP and home. I was put on another flight at 11:00 p.m. three hours later. I am happy to be home even though I sure miss all the new friends in Europe. The trip back was my greatest fear due to so many warnings of Y2K problems and expected terrorism in the entire world that did not happen. I felt however that the risk was necessary. I must serve God at any risk because He protects. My mission is to witness the gospel via visual art to the world I see in need. My mission is to paint the truth in universal language of life and health with respect for God and the family. I believe in eternal life through faith in the living Lord. All things that we hope for are possible. Healing is possible. Happiness is possible. Hope is possible when we direct our focus first on Christ. To settle in now and get back to the routine. This year I am to build a web site of my art and journals as a daily witness of the Lord God almighty. I think of creation when I think of the endtime prophecy of a renewed earth and of peace. This is the 0 year, zero in terms of the year between the big computer scare and the actual end of the 20 Century decade, century and 1000 Year Millennium. 50 years ago when the computer industry used two digits rather than to give the full year date, they just did not consider that this would not roll over into 2000. All this was made a bigger problem than it actually was but it would affect flying by it and much of the world system of computers control. The computer industry delayed the fixing of this problem but surely knew that it was a serious one all along. I thank God to be home and not to have suffered any delays or serious problems as a result of our dependence on computers. I look now down across the year to see how I can be the most effective and productive to spread the Word of God.
Oh bless the lord 0 my soul and thank Him for eternal life and health and strength. I look at this not as the end but as the beginning of eternal life in God's purpose and plan that he so loved man that he provided redemption instead of destruction. God made it a volunteer and God will have a select people to share eternal life. I rejoice in having a knowledge of God and being spared to see the miracle workings of God. May our Lord be revealed to all people of the world through culmination of efforts of His true faithful servants in all languages of the world, may we all have mutual understanding of salvation Genesis 1-1“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2-And the Earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3-And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.4-And God saw the light, that it was good:and God divided the light from darkness”.
